Required to take a defensive driving course behind the wheel driver training and test with instructors. The driver for our Autonomous vehicle is responsible for safety of the vehicle and its occupants during self-driving mode. We need someone who can follow well-defined procedures, use common sense, identify problems, troubleshoot, and work with test operators. Drive up to 6+ hours per day. Monitor systems on the car and follow procedures to calibrate & troubleshoot equipment in conjunction with assistance from test operator. Coordinating with members of the drive team daily to ensure data integrity, proper data transfer, and overall safety. Assist as needed with troubleshooting equipment over the phone & via email. Work with test operator & engineering team on open issues, reporting, & documentation.
