Job Summary: Oversees complex payroll processes and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Provides advanced expertise in payroll administration, reconciliations, and reporting. Partners with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve payroll issues and implement process improvements. Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for Payroll Specialists and Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processes and reviews multi-state payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws.
• Audits wage calculations, deductions, and adjustments to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
• Reconciles payroll accounts and coordinates with Finance and people practices teams on discrepancies.
• Interprets and applies payroll policies, tax regulations, and garnishment requirements.
• Prepares complex payroll and compliance reports for management review and audits.
• Provides guidance and training to Payroll Specialists and Coordinators.
• Recommends and supports implementation of payroll process improvements and automation initiatives.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.

Work Experience: 5–7 years of experience in payroll administration or multi-state payroll processing required.

Certifications and Licenses: Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

This role will have a heavy focus on tax and 401k administration.
