Position Details Position: Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) Location: West TN Healthcare Dyersburg – 400 East Tickle Street, Dyersburg, TN 38024 Schedule: On‑call schedule; 8‑hour and 12‑hour shifts; days and hours may vary, including some weekends Pay Range: $15.00–$18.00 per hour Application Method: Online only Previous patient dining experience: preferred Training provided Job Summary Patient Dining Associates serve as a vital part of the caregiving team in a healthcare facility, helping patients make menu selections, and assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays while ensuring food safety and patient satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements or restrictions. Coordinate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic or religious preferences, or when additional selections are requested. Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and in a timely manner; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times. Comply with regulator agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO; adhere to HIPAA and facility policies. Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down the patient tray line. Follow facility and department infection control policies and procedures. Assist dietitians with monitoring patients who cannot eat orally, are on liquid diets, or require specific calorie counts. Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel promptly, following department procedures. Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies. Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. Perform other duties assigned. Qualifications Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English. Basic computer and mathematical skills. Must occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver and push food delivery carts.
