Houseperson PositionAs a Houseperson, you are responsible for supporting the Room Attendants and ensuring the cleanliness of guest rooms/floors and responding to guest service requests. The Houseperson should enthusiastically carry out all instructions from supervisors and follow safety procedures to provide the most enjoyable guest experience.Essential FunctionsStock linen closets, deliver supplies and amenities to room attendants, and empty carts of soiled linen and trash to ensure efficient workflow.Strip and service guest rooms per standard procedure; replace linens, towels, and amenities; and clean assigned areas including guest floors, hallways, stairwells, foyers, vending and ice machine areas.Follow proper handling of cleaning chemicals per OSHA and hotel policies, and perform deep cleaning tasks such as waxing, polishing floors, and window cleaning as assigned.Maintain cleanliness and organization of carts, closets, and public-facing areas; ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation standards.Anticipate guest needs, respond to service requests promptly, and follow brand and hospitality standards to exceed expectations.Collaborate effectively with co-workers and departments, communicate guest needs and unusual findings, and support a cooperative team environment.Turn in lost and found items to supervisors and complete end-of-shift responsibilities such as returning and restocking supply carts.Follow all SOPs, policies, safety protocols, and reliability standards; remain open to feedback and strive for operational excellence through ongoing improvement.Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures.Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.Skills and AbilitiesUnderstand and align with the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.Prioritize tasks, work efficiently with limited supervision, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.Communicate effectively in the primary workplace language, demonstrating excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions, using good judgment to resolve problems, follow directions, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:Flexible and long hours sometimes requiredMust be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 poundsAbility to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversationAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneelDisclaimerAll duties and requirements stated are essential job functions.
