Travel Physical Therapist - $1,926 per week

Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Norway, Maine. The position requires a current state‑licensed PT, BLS certification, and a commitment to evidence‑based, patient‑centered care. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions through standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to determine functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote recovery. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other health professionals to optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management strategies. Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control protocols and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Prior physical therapy experience; new graduates are welcome. Additional certifications or licenses as required for the position. Required Skills Critical thinking, excellent interpersonal communication, and service‑excellence orientation. Proficiency reading, writing, and communicating in English. Read/write/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; PC skills proficiency. Physical Abilities – Ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Technical/Motor Skills – Ability to perform fine manipulation and operate department equipment. Mental Requirements – Ability to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with minimal supervision, manage irregular schedules, and focus on detail.
