Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated, full-time Palliative Care Physician who is board-certified to become part of our expanding team. This role involves delivering empathetic, patient-focused care to individuals facing intricate chronic illnesses such as Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).

Requirements:
  • Completion of fellowship training and/or board certification/eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and various payer types, including high-need Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
  • Proficiency in conducting care discussions, advanced care planning, and symptom management, particularly with complex medication regimens, acute care, and behavioral health, along with an understanding of social determinants of health.
  • Experience and readiness to supervise and collaborate closely with advanced practice providers.
  • Possession of a medical license or the ability to obtain licensure in Mississippi.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel within the Jackson, MS area as necessary.
