Product Control Specialist - function build out - leading global Hedge Fund - NYC An elite, global, multi-billion-dollar hedge fund is seeking an experienced Senior Product Control / Valuations Specialist to become the first Product Control hire in its expanding New York office. Offering the opportunity to build and shape the New York function from day one, you'll be supported by an established New York Operations team and a highly experienced global Product Control team. You'll take ownership of daily P&L reporting and valuation oversight across a range of Fixed Income and OTC derivative products, partnering closely with the Front Office to analyse P&L, investigate breaks and ensure robust valuation controls. Working alongside Risk, Technology, Operations and Quantitative Analytics, you'll enhance pricing models, support new product launches, strengthen control frameworks and drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years' experience within Product Control, Valuations or a similar Front Office Control function gained at a leading hedge fund or Tier 1 investment bank. You'll possess strong Fixed Income and OTC derivatives knowledge, a solid understanding of valuation methodologies & pricing controls, and have the ability to calculate and interpret interest rate curves. Strong Python and Advanced Excel skills are advantages, alongside a numerate degree and the confidence to partner closely with traders and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced trading environment.
