Pediatric Physical Therapist

Location : Duluth, GA

Job Type : Part-Time

Shifts : Mon - Fri (20 hours per week)

Settings : Outpatient

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat children with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and mobility-related needs. The role focuses on improving strength, balance, coordination, mobility, gross motor skills, endurance, and overall functional independence through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with children, families, physicians, therapists, educators, and other pediatric professionals to support developmental progress and functional outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct pediatric PT evaluations for strength, balance, gait, mobility, ROM, posture, and gross motor development.

• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.

• Provide therapy including strengthening, stretching, balance, mobility, and functional movement training.

• Support children in achieving gross motor milestones such as sitting, crawling, walking, running, and stairs.

• Educate families on home exercises, positioning, mobility strategies, and adaptive equipment.

• Collaborate with physicians, OTs, SLPs, educators, and caregivers while maintaining accurate EHR documentation.

Qualification/Experience Required:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited physical therapy program.

• Pediatric physical therapy experience preferred.

• Experience working with children with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, or mobility-related conditions is highly desirable.

• New graduates are also accepted.

License/Certifications Required:

• Current Georgia Physical Therapist (PT) license or eligibility to obtain Georgia licensure.

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
