Registered Nurse (RN) / Labor & Delivery
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care for Labor and Delivery patients. This role requires the application of the Nursing Process in alignment with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.
Utilize critical thinking skills and scientific judgment to plan and provide safe delivery of care.
Demonstrate leadership by anticipating patient care needs and delegating tasks effectively based on staff education and experience.
Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
Must be licensed to practice nursing in Alabama with no NURSYS hits.
Willingness to travel 50+ miles from residence to the assigned facility.
The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
