Our organization is in search of a Cardiac Electrophysiologist to become a part of our esteemed Heart & Vascular Institute located in Akron, Ohio. This role presents a remarkable chance to engage with a collaborative electrophysiology program that boasts a robust referral network and advanced procedural capabilities. The selected physician will join a skilled team of four electrophysiology specialists and three advanced practice providers, all committed to delivering innovative, patient-focused cardiovascular care while contributing to the evolution of electrophysiology within an integrated healthcare system.

Our practice encompasses a high volume of complex ablations, CRM device placements, laser lead extractions, LAA occlusion devices, and an EP consult service that collaborates with general cardiology fellows, alongside a busy outpatient practice. The Heart and Vascular Institute prides itself on a highly cooperative approach and stands as the largest multidisciplinary cardiovascular medicine team in the tri-county area, comprising nearly 50 cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and vascular specialists.

Opportunity Highlights
  • Approximately 3.5 days per week in the Electrophysiology lab and 1.5 days in the outpatient clinic.

  • Inpatient EP consult service approximately once every five weeks.

  • Shared weekend and holiday on-call duties with strong physician support.

  • Cardiology fellows will assist with consults and inpatient coverage.

  • Utilization of Epic System's EMR.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology and Electrophysiology.

  • Completion of a Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship program.

  • Possession of an unrestricted Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain one.

  • Experience with lead extractions is preferred.

  • A strong commitment to delivering quality care in a patient-centered, team-oriented environment.
