Registered Veterinary Technician

Wellshire Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician who is passionate about surgical nursing, anesthesia, dentistry, and providing excellent patient care throughout every stage of the visit. In this role, you'll utilize your technical expertise in a fast-paced, supportive environment by assisting with surgery and dental procedures, taking patient histories, supporting exam room workflow, and collaborating closely with veterinarians to deliver exceptional care.

In this role, you will:

• Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia induction and monitoring, recovery, and post-operative care
• Perform dental prophylaxis, full-mouth dental radiographs, and assist with advanced dental procedures
• Support laparoscopic and other advanced surgical procedures with efficiency and attention to detail
• Ensure smooth exam room workflow while delivering outstanding client communication
• Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and answer client questions with empathy and clarity
• Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to support outpatient care and maintain high standards of medicine

This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays.

• Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum qualifications and skillset:

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of CO
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Client communication
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Dental prophy
  • IVC placement
  • Outpatient care
