Project Superintendent

• Company: MRW Construction Service Unlimited, Inc.

• Location: Based in Benton / Central Arkansas (Requires statewide travel across Arkansas )

Position Summary

The Project Superintendent manages day-to-day field operations to ensure construction projects are completed safely, on time, and according to plans and specifications. This role acts as the primary onsite leader coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and site activities—with a heavy emphasis on civil infrastructure and underground utilities (water, sewer, and storm drain systems) .

Key Responsibilities

• Field Supervision: Direct daily jobsite activities, scheduling, workflow sequencing, and resource planning.

• Utility Execution: Oversee the installation, testing, and inspection of water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm drainage systems.

• Equipment Operation: Operate all heavy equipment on-site as required to support the crew and keep projects moving efficiently.

• Safety: Enforce OSHA compliance, conduct daily hazard assessments, and maintain a safe working environment.

• Subcontractor Management: Coordinate trade partners to ensure work aligns with the master project schedule and quality standards.

• Office Communication: Provide efficient, timely updates to the main office and project supervisors. Submit daily field reports, logs, and look-ahead schedules on time.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Proven track record as a construction field superintendent or supervisor.

• License & Records: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to operate the company truck.

• Equipment Proficiency: Proven ability to safely and effectively operate all heavy equipment relevant to utility and civil construction.

• Utility Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of underground utility installation, trench safety/shoring, and civil grading.

• Travel: Ability to work across Central Arkansas and statewide . Willingness to do overnight travel as needed .

• Tech Skills: Proficient with computers, email, smartphone texting , and digital project reporting tools.

• Plan Reading: Expert ability to read and interpret civil engineering blueprints, plans, and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial, municipal, or heavy civil construction projects.

• Familiarity with Arkansas municipal utility standards and QA/QC testing procedures.

• Strong leadership and jobsite conflict-resolution skills.
