Residential Associate - On Call Location: Juniper Ridge, John Day, OR Supervisor: Facility Assistant Administrator Pay Grade: B5 ($19.23 - $26.54 per hour, depending on experience) Shift differential: $1 to $2.50 for nights and weekends Hiring bonus: $500 Description Provides services and supports for clients that help the residents develop appropriate skills to increase or maintain their level of functioning. Services may include mental health, rehabilitation, social, personal, medical, dental, educational, financial, legal, vocational, transportation, recreational, and other services required to meet a resident's needs as defined in their personal care plan. This person works directly with residents to promote recovery. Supervision Immediate supervision from the Assistant Administrator, with the Facility Administrator providing direct supervision in the absence of the Assistant Administrator. The position does not supervise or assign work. Responsibilities Follow and reference the policies and procedures, mission, and values of CCS. Demonstrate leadership and independent judgment skills. Manage time efficiently and effectively. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Follow and reference OARs. Maintain confidentiality of information and protect client confidentiality. Demonstrate alignment with collaborative problem solving philosophy. Actively supervise and interact with clients both in the community and within the facility. Orient, train, and supervise residents in safety and independent tasks per personal care plan. Provide services and support according to individual service plans. Demonstrate active listening and empathy skills. Transport clients to appointments and activities; provide direct supervision as necessary. Administer prescribed medications following physician orders. Assist clients with medical appointments and prescription fulfillment. Respond to group dynamics and intervene effectively. Assist with food purchases, preparation, cleanup, and housekeeping tasks. Provide direct skills training and coaching in independent living, education, navigating the medical community, community living, etc. Report suspected violations of client rights or abuse as required. Transfer residents to and from wheelchairs, beds, chairs, toilets, etc., per training guidelines. Assist residents with self-management activities including eating, toileting, bathing, personal hygiene and grooming, cleaning, community access, personal spending, socialization, recreation, skill acquisition, and self-expression. Participate in inventory, ordering, and purchasing of client program supplies. Effectively assess and manage crisis situations, de-escalate when necessary. Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe conditions; report hazards. Observe clients for behavioral changes and report to supervisor. Document incident reports, PCS notes, contact logs, ADL sheets, etc. Conduct or facilitate appropriate groups oriented to treatment needs. Cooperate with QMHAs and other staff to meet facility, staff, and resident needs. Cooperate with other staff to maintain safe work environment. Perform all work tasks safely per policies and procedures. Comply with all federal, state, and agency health and safety reporting requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Current driver’s license and valid auto insurance for vehicle use. Ability to pass criminal history background check per ORS 181.536-181.537 and OAR 410-007-0200 through 410-007-0380. Monthly background checks against OIG and GSA exclusion lists and other federal/state lists. Proof of liability coverage $300,000 bodily injury and $100,000 property damage. Physical ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, lift, and transfer clients; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, overnight. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Physical Demands Regular availability during scheduled shifts; ability to handle high mental, emotional, and physical demands; lifting/transfer clients; overtime, weekends, evenings, overnight shifts; flexible schedule. Work Environment Residential treatment program and community; moderate office noise; occasional loud noise; out-of-area travel and overnight stays for meetings/training may be required.
