Speech-Language Pathologist

Speech therapists develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations. Communication treatment plans may include techniques that not only help the individual to be better understood but also to help them better understand others. Leads, guides, and directs the delivery of speech-language pathology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures. The goal is to provide appropriate care and services to residents.

Experience: 1 year of SLP experience LTC or Rehab experience License: Valid Missouri State License Certifications: CCC certified SLP Must-Have: Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care. A valid, unrestricted license in therapy discipline. Meets educational requirements of licensure. Valid driver's license.
