Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiac/Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule block

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Cardiac/Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation and patient recordkeeping
• Collaborate with unit secretaries and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available on all shifts
• Perform nursing assessments, interventions, and care coordination consistent with Med/Surg standards
• Float to other departments as needed based on unit staffing requirements
• Adhere to facility dress code, wearing navy scrubs as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic documentation system
• Ability to meet weekend shift requirements (4 shifts per schedule block)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma or Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
• Background in Cardiac nursing or a combined Cardiac/Med-Surg setting
• Comfort with floating to multiple departments within an acute care hospital
