Platform Engineer / SRE-DevOps Engineer - Amazon Redshift

Job title : Platform Engineer / SRE-DevOps Engineer Amazon Redshift
Location: Remote
Duration: 3+Months
- Design, deploy, and maintain Amazon Redshift environments and supporting AWS infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation , or similar tools.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure, database, and data platform deployments.
- Monitor and optimize Redshift performance, storage, workloads, and query execution.
- Perform Redshift tuning including distribution keys, sort keys, compression, and workload management .
- Manage scaling, backups, snapshots, disaster recovery, and high availability.
- Implement AWS security controls including IAM, encryption, network security, and secrets management .
- Support AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager .
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, database, deployment, and data pipeline issues.
- Develop monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Participate in production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, DBAs, security teams, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and incident-response playbooks.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift administration and support .
- Strong AWS experience with services such as S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Glue, Lambda, and Secrets Manager .
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, and database performance tuning .
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline .
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation , or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Strong scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell , or similar.
- Understanding of Redshift architecture, workload management, concurrency scaling, and data distribution.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and production incident management.
- Experience with Git and Agile development practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- AWS certification such as AWS DevOps Engineer, Database Specialty, or Solutions Architect .
- Experience with Redshift Serverless and Redshift Spectrum .
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
- Knowledge of dbt or similar data transformation tools.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and data governance.
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus .
