Fleet Mechanic

Fleet Mechanic – Olathe, KS The DH Pace Company is a family‑owned business with annual sales over $1 billion and 60+ offices across the continental United States. We are an industry leader in the distribution, installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking, and security products. This hourly position handles a large fleet of Ford service trucks (E and F series light‑duty gasoline engines) and sales vehicles. Job Responsibilities Perform thorough and accurate preventative maintenance inspections. Complete all required preventative maintenance operations including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation. Operate non‑CDL, light‑duty vehicles to perform road tests and shuttle in and out of the garage for repairs and maintenance. Operate bench grinder, torch, welder, oil pumps, power washer, brake lathe, and other hand tools as required. Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately. Maintain tools and workplace so that conditions are neat and orderly. Be thoroughly familiar with all safety provisions associated with vehicle maintenance. Complete other responsibilities as assigned. Job Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of verifiable automotive mechanic experience. Able to safely lift 100 pounds. Complete set of tools required. High school diploma or GED. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Good mechanical aptitude. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet all requirements to operate commercial vehicles.
