Assignment Description

Position Summary

Our Client is seeking a hands-on Organizational Change Management (OCM) Practitioner to support technology and business change initiatives. This role is designed for an execution-focused "doer" who can translate strategic direction from OCM leadership, project leadership, and technical subject matter experts into practical plans, deliverables, and activities that help employees understand, prepare for, and adopt change.

The OCM Practitioner will work closely with project teams, business stakeholders, technical SMEs, and impacted users. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with established OCM frameworks and templates while independently driving assigned work to completion.

Reporting Relationship

• Reports to: Program Manger with dotted line to OCM Mgmt team
• Works closely with: Project leadership, technical SMEs, business stakeholders, communications, training, and impacted user groups

Key Responsibilities

• Translate direction from IT Leadership, project leadership, OCM leadership and technical SMEs into actionable OCM tasks and deliverables.
• Gather information about system, process, role, and organizational changes and convert it into clear, audience-focused materials.
• Create and maintain change management plans, activity trackers, schedules, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Conduct interviews, working sessions, and impact discussions with project team members and SMEs.
• Document changes to processes, systems, roles, responsibilities, and user experiences.
• Identify people-side risks, readiness concerns, resistance points, and adoption barriers; recommend practical mitigation actions.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder lists, audience maps, impact assessments, and readiness information.
• Create and execute communications and engagement activities using appropriate channels for each audience.
• Draft communications, presentations, FAQs, talking points, newsletters, job aids, quick-reference guides, and other supporting materials.
• Develop and maintain communications tools such as Teams and SharePoint sites.
• Support train-the-trainer activities, end-user training logistics, training delivery, and follow-up activities as needed.
• Coordinate reviews and approvals with SMEs, project leads, business representatives, and communications partners.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, focus groups, readiness discussions, and job-impact sessions.
• Track completion of OCM activities and escalate delays, decisions, risks, or unresolved dependencies.
• Support go-live readiness activities, adoption measurement, reinforcement, and post-implementation follow-up.
• Collect feedback from users and stakeholders and adjust OCM activities based on findings.
• Maintain organized project documentation and provide concise status updates to OCM and project leadership.
• Share lessons learned and reusable materials with the broader OCM team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of experience supporting organizational change management, communications, training, implementation, project coordination, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience creating and executing communications, training, readiness, or stakeholder engagement activities.
• Ability to work from strategic direction and independently complete detailed execution work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and follow through on commitments.
• Ability to work effectively with technical SMEs, business stakeholders, project teams, and employees at varying levels of the organization.
• Strong active listening, facilitation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to explain technical or process changes in clear, practical language.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting IT implementations, system migrations, process transformations, or other technology-enabled changes.
• Track record of delivering scalable OCM plans for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience developing job aids, quick-reference guides, training content, presentations, or employee communications.
• Experience supporting readiness assessments, stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, or adoption measurement.
• Familiarity with ADO (Azure DevOps) or similar planning tools.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is action-oriented, organized, curious, and comfortable working in the details at a very fast pace. They do not need to be the senior strategist in the room; they need to listen carefully, ask good questions, turn direction into work products, engage stakeholders, and keep OCM activities moving. They should be willing to facilitate a working session, draft the communication, update the tracker, coordinate the training, and follow up until the work is complete.

This role is not intended to be a high-level advisory or portfolio strategy position. It is a hands-on practitioner role focused on execution, coordination, and measurable adoption support.
