What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or acute care nursing experience
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Strong skills in stroke management, ventilator management, intubation/extubation assistance, CVL placement/management, Foley catheter management, and tube feeding via NGT or PEG
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Prior experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
- Experience floating across stepdown, stroke, and med-surg units
- Basic phlebotomy skills (though not required on the unit)
- Additional certifications such as CCRN or specialty training in neuro or trauma care
- Registered Nurse license in good standing
- At least 2 years of ICU or high-acuity acute care experience
- Proven history of working in diverse patient populations with complex needs
- Ability to work 4-day or 3-day weekly shifts with rotating weekends
- Flexibility with holiday schedules, working 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Willingness to work on a rotational schedule that may include 3/2 or 5/2 shifts
- Travel and licensure reimbursements provided
- Professionalism in scrubs, badge display, and unit conduct; no cell phone use in patient care areas
