Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and communication between patients and clinical staff Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming Requirements: Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front office setting preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, EHR/EMR systems, and insurance verification Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative certification a plus Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to patient confidentiality (HIPAA) About Us: Som Medical Practice is a trusted healthcare provider serving the Niagara Falls, NY community with compassionate, patient-centered care.
