About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: ER Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours per week Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required - AHA-PALS required - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required Must-Have: - Experience in EPIC and Cerner Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employed strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe, healing, and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
