Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring CT/compact license and prior trauma experience.

Details

Level II Trauma Center within a short-term acute care hospital, part of a larger health system

5x8 hour day shift schedule (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Break shift coverage required, primarily Monday to Friday with weekend or shift rotation as needed

Call required, varying by schedule, including weekday trauma call, weekend trauma call, and weekend backup call

Charting completed in Epic

Scrubs provided

Requirements

Active CT RN license or compact license required prior to start

BLS certification required

Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required (5 years preferred)

Trauma Level I and Level II experience required

Minimum of 3 prior travel assignments in Level I Trauma or high trauma settings required

Epic charting experience required

Charge nurse experience preferred

Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

One professional reference required

Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted

COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only

Additional Information

Scrub and support a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, general, orthopedic, neurology, trauma, urology, ENT, thoracic, and robotic surgery

Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and DaVinci V technology utilized

Works in General OR, Hybrid OR, and Trauma settings

Facility is part of a large academic health system

Travelers may be required to participate in emergency response activities during natural disasters or other emergencies

RTO of up to 7 days can be auto-approved

Previous perm staff must be separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler

Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
