Founded in Chicago 40 years ago as a Delicatessen, Levy now finds itself as a leading presence in the Food, Beverage, and Retail industry across 200 plus Entertainment, Sports, and Restaurant venues across the country. Supervises hourly associates to ensure their practices comply with company policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in ordering and keeping inventory of products. Maintains product cost and labor cost according to budget. Supervises and trains hourly staff to ensure policy and procedures are implemented. Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment. Assists the Chef as needed in execution of production. Assists the Chef with event set up and breakdown requirements: All necessary prep, Chef's Table sets and decor, event execution, event breakdown; product labeling, storage, and disposal. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Candidates must be able to comunicate in English, read and follow recipes, and complete basic mathematical calculations for recipe conversions. Second Language is a plus. 3-5 years of culinary experiences in a similar role; preferably in a high volume, luxury hotel/restaurant, scratch-cooking environment. Candidate must exhibit extensice sanitation and culinary knowledge, accurate knife skills, and the ability to lead and motivate staff. Requires the ability to work organized and within a team environment. Ability to work well under pressure, bea logical thinker, remains calm and resolves problems using good judgement. Must possess the ability to prioitize, organize and follow through to meet deadlines. Must be available for all shifts.
