RN - MedSurg/Tele About the Facility 351 Licensed Beds Trauma Designation in process Teaching Hospital Chest Pain Center Stroke Center Unit Information 24 beds with an average length of stay of 1.2 days Minimum experience required: 1 year First-time travelers accepted Patient Types and Common Diagnoses Total Hip and Total Knee replacement Bariatric surgery Urology surgical patients Spine Surgery GYN Procedures Patient Ratios RN: 1:6 CNA: 1:9 Required Licensure & Certifications BLS ACLS NIHSS - required for Resource Team Required Skills Experience with surgical patients Department Support CNA support available at times Charge nurse available Phlebotomy support IV/VAT Team not available Resource Nurse available if needed Respiratory Therapist available 24/7 Hospitalist available 24/7 if needed Intensivist available 24/7 if needed Telemetry monitoring/tech available Rapid response RN available if needed Technology and Equipment EMR system: EPIC IV Pump: Alaris Medication dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Phillips No unit-specific equipment Floating Minimal floating required; may float to medical surgical unit if needed Orientation New Employee Orientation (NEO) 2 days departmental orientation Additional Information Scrub color: Royal Blue Free on-campus parking Strong unit culture #J-18808-Ljbffr
