This position offers a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on alternating weekends.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients. The selected candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure optimal respiratory management.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and response to therapy.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment including ventilators and blood gas analyzers.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory health and treatments.
• Document patient care activities in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, particularly in Emergency Department or Critical Care settings.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• North Carolina RRT license required.
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or higher.
