Location: Mesa, Arizona, USA. Job Type: Full‑time, Employee, Regular Time, Exempt. Job Overview The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical, supports daily plasma center operations, ensures donor safety, and maintains compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility for plasma donation, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, and blood testing. Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results, including Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Notify donors of unsuitable test results and coordinate follow‑up actions. Evaluate donor reactions according to SOPs and initiate medical emergencies, including development of Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency facilities. Provide center‑level support for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) guidance and assist with employee incident management. Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, investigating local community threat incidents. Qualifications High‑school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Current state license or certification as Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state IV therapy requirements. Completed FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage range: $35.20 – $48.40.
