Cable Apprentice (Data Center) – 1-Month Contract

Location: Data Center Environment

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cable Apprentice to support a data center cabling project on a 1-month contract. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic who are eager to learn and contribute to a fast-paced team environment. The Cable Apprentice will assist with general project tasks, basic cabling activities, material handling, and other duties as needed to help ensure project success.

Candidates should be comfortable working long hours, following directions, and supporting a variety of tasks throughout the duration of the project.

Required Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification
• Comfortable climbing ladders
• Experience in warehouse, assembly, construction, or general labor environments
• Ability to read basic drawings or blueprints
• Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working extended hours as needed

PPE Requirements:

• Hard hat
• Steel-toe boots

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous cabling, rack-and-stack, or data center experience
• Experience working with fiber optic or copper cabling
• Knowledge of fiber optic patch cables and cable management practices

What You'll Do

• Assist technicians with cable installation and project support tasks
• Pull, route, and organize cabling under supervision
• Support equipment staging, material handling, and site organization
• Read and follow basic drawings, layouts, and work instructions
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned
