As a Mesa Rim Custodian, you have high standards and take pride and ownership in the facility.The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of Mesa Rim facilities.Responsible for general cleaning throughout the building, following facility cleaning procedures and guidelinesClean bathrooms and locker rooms (toilets, showers, tile floors, mirrors, walls, etc.)Vacuum, sweep, mop, and deep clean floors (carpet, concrete, rubber and vinyl climbing floors, etc.)Clean counters, rails, stairs, desks and other non-climbing surfacesClean windowsCollect and dispose of garbageClean up spills with appropriate equipmentClean offices and staff room (including appliances and kitchenette)Ensure doors are locked and proper security procedures are followedMaintain cleaning supplies and equipment, restocking as needed and keeping custodial closet and storage areas tidyProactively communicate facility concerns and/or major repairs to supervisorSupport with larger projects such as painting, equipment assembly, etc. as neededComplete tasks in timely manner with minimal supervisionOther work-related duties as assignedEarly morning hours are required; hours vary and minimums may be required according to the needs of business operations at each locationMust-Haves:Must be at least 18 years of ageMust have High School Diploma or equivalentMust contribute to Mesa Rim Climbing Center cultureMust have previous professional cleaning experienceMust demonstrate clear communication and be customer-service orientedMust have ability to seek and accept, as well as give, critical feedback in a professional mannerMust demonstrate a positive attitude and be a team playerMust be able to work independently and creatively problem solve without direct supervisionMust regularly demonstrate a high degree of initiative and follow-throughMust demonstrate strong attention to detailMust be comfortable using a step ladderMust be able to work safely with variety of cleaning equipment and suppliesMust have basic computer skillsNice-to-Haves:Experience with light-duty repairs, general hand tools, paintingCurrent First Aid & CPR CertificationGet Stoked For Access To:Being part of an amazing team and company culture that focuses on personal and professional growth, authentic communication, and genuine care for one anotherA competitive benefits package, including employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan with employer-match, and an Employee Assistance ProgramA robust Paid Time Off packageProfessional leadership + life coaching among other professional development opportunitiesMesa Rim membership, access to Mesa Rim classes, pro-deals, and Pro Shop discountsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The incumbent is required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when working on applicable tasks (e.g. air filter mask when cleaning HVAC paper filters).Pay Range: $15.75-$21.50/hour
