Auxiliary Technician

Auxiliary Technician Come join our team and open the door to an amazing career at Apple Door Systems! We have an immediate need for an Auxiliary Technician at our Waynesboro, VA location. In the role of Auxiliary Technician, you will play a pivotal role by assisting in the installation, maintenance, & repair of garage doors, rolling doors, dock equipment, and related systems. Prior experience is preferred but not required, as we provide thorough on-the-job training. Duties Assist with the installation of garage door products per the manufacturer's specifications. Gather and prepare materials needed for installation and service jobs. Maintain paperwork and records as necessary. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Must have an accepted MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy. Must have dependable & reliable transportation to and from your base office location. Preferred Qualifications Experience in garage door service/install or similar skilled trade. Basic knowledge of construction, hand tools, and/or electrical. Mechanical inclination Skills Willingness to learn Excellent attention to detail Customer service-oriented mindset Adaptability to a changing work environment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Work Conditions Non-climate-controlled environment – will be working in all weather conditions. Frequently walking, standing, bending, climbing ladders, using lift equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
