About the Position

Job Title: ICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience; preferred 3 years RN experience with at least 1 year in an ICU License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: Ability to care for up to 1-3 ICU patients. Comfort in managing patients on ventilators. Proficient in reading telemetry strips. Experience with CRRT, Advanced Hemodynamics, and Phlebotomy. Ability to perform procedures such as post-operative CABG and advanced neuro procedures. Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. Unit is a mixed ICU with a total of 28 beds. Staffing ratios may vary from 1:1 to 1:3/4. Documentation system is Meditech. Nurses will administer respiratory treatments outside of the ICU. Bedside shift report is the method used for patient handoff. Travelers may float to other areas as needed, including emergency department or PCU. Advanced practice opportunities are available for those interested in neuro and cardiovascular ICU nursing.
