Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Position Overview: Provides direct nursing care in a cardiac stepdown unit, ensuring patient safety and well-being. Responsible for implementing and monitoring care plans, recording patient conditions, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team. Acts as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary collaboration and ensures adherence to physician and nursing orders. Assists with discharge planning and coordinates patient needs with team members. Responsibilities Deliver patient care according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Monitor, assess, and document patient status accurately. Coordinate interdisciplinary efforts to ensure well-organized care. Follow physician and nursing instructions precisely. Participate in discharge planning and patient education. Qualifications & Skills Current RN licensure or eligibility in Alabama; diploma from an accredited nursing school. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire, from AHA or Red Cross.
