CNA w/ Telemetry Technician

CNA Position

San Luis Valley is seeking CNA's to join our Med/Surg team. This position will cross-train to provide support as a Telemetry Tech and Ward Clerk. Under supervision this position will complete routine duties in caring for hospitalized patients. Duties may vary depending on assigned area.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Colorado CNA license
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Ability to communicate effectively, presenting information and responding to questions from patients, other staff members and groups of managers
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to move quickly and efficiently among various tasks

What You'll Do:

• Answering call lights
• Direct care of patients including bathing and oral hygiene
• Servicing and collecting food trays and feeding patients requiring help.
• Assisting in ambulation of patients including turning and re-positioning patients
• Changing bed linens
• Taking and recording patients vital signs; pulse, temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure
• Recording fluid intake and outtake as directed
• Taking and recording, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates
• Cleaning equipment and re-stocking supplies
• Providing age appropriate care through proper training
