Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong neuro expertise for a day-shift OR role requiring at least 3 years of specialty experience.

Hospital operating room setting

Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM

13-week assignment length

On-call requirement

May be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared emergency events, requiring on-site presence until relief arrives

Minimum of 3 years of experience in the operating room specialty required

Highly proficient in all aspects of neuro surgical procedures

Experience in robotics, orthopedics, or general surgery is a plus but not required

BLS certification required

NBSTSA certification preferred

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred

Prior travel experience required

License required if applicable

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible

Two Manager/Supervisor references (Charge RNs not accepted) required prior to starting contract, though not required for initial consideration

RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process to avoid risk of offer rescission

Orientation is held five days a week

Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a full year separation before returning as a travel employee
