This full-time, 37.5-hours-per-week contract opportunity focuses on K-12 students near the Burbank area. With a manageable caseload of 20-23 students, you'll have the chance to make lasting differences in their educational journeys. Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license (California)
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12)
- Knowledge of school-based OT best practices and IEPs
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
- Effective communication with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and flexible approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students at multiple school sites
- Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute OT expertise to educational planning
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Offer strategies to help students access the curriculum and achieve their goals
- Educate school staff and families on recommendations to support carryover of skills
