Position Summary
Lone Star City Towing is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Office Assistant with dispatching responsibilities to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting daily office operations while assisting with dispatching tow truck drivers as needed. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
Essential Job Duties
Office Administration
- Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Greet customers, clients, and visitors.
- Process payments and issue receipts.
- Prepare invoices and maintain customer accounts.
- Organize, scan, and file company documents.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain records.
- Respond to emails and customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Monitor office supplies and place orders as needed.
- Maintain organized office files and records.
- Assist management with daily office operations and special projects.
Dispatching Responsibilities
- Receive incoming towing and roadside assistance requests.
- Dispatch drivers efficiently based on location, availability, and service priority.
- Monitor driver status and job progress throughout each shift.
- Enter and update dispatch information in Towbook or other dispatch software.
- Communicate with drivers by phone, radio, and dispatch software.
- Coordinate services with insurance companies, motor clubs, law enforcement agencies, dealerships, repair facilities, and customers.
- Provide customers with estimated arrival times and service updates.
- Ensure all service calls are entered accurately and completed properly.
- Maintain communication with drivers until each call is completed.
- Assist in handling emergency and high-priority service requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Previous office, administrative, customer service, or dispatch experience preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn Towbook and other dispatch software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Professional attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.

Work Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Monday through Friday.
- Additional hours may be required during periods of high call volume or business necessity.
