We strive to recruit the best talent in the industry and give employees opportunities for continuing education and training to help them advance in their careers.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage daily outbound shipping operations to ensure customer orders are picked, staged, loaded, and shipped accurately and on time throughout the dayCoordinate carrier scheduling, dock door assignments, trailer utilization, and load planning to meet daily ship targets and freight cost objectivesEnsure accuracy and completeness of shipping documentation and system transactions, including bills of lading, packing lists, and export/customs documentationRecommend revisions to shipping standard operating procedures and standardized work based on improvements and changes in the businessEstablish root cause for shipping process deviations (mis-shipments, short shipments, late shipments, damage) and drive corrective actions to ensure the highest level of customer satisfactionManage shipping associates to ensure safety and service objectives are met while ensuring cost and asset utilization targets are metImplement improvement initiatives in order to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost within the shipping operationAdvise team, manage, and create strategic plans for shipping and load-out activities that can be implemented to achieve on-time shipment goals and objectivesManage first and secondary-level internal support and serve as primary point of contact for shippingManage design, documentation, optimization, and implementation of shipping, staging, and load-out proceduresManage Shipping Leads during physical inventory to ensure proper procedures are followed for staged and in-transit goods and accurate updates are made to inventoryCollaborate with Shipping Leads to prepare and provide assistance during internal and external inventory audits; apply lean concepts to shipping continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizens, and Gemba Walks; champion system changes and shipment accuracy improvements; provide coaching and mentoring to the shipping teamComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.Supervision ExercisedMotivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team membersDrive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policiesMaintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communication.Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CG mission, vision and values.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or related field required5+ years of experience working in implementing/supporting logistics network inhouse5+ years of experience working in a supervisor roleAbility to use an ERP/MRP systemWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to travel 20% this includes domestic and international#LI-JE1#LI-OnsiteThe pay range for this position is $72,300.00 - $116,775.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
