Hey there! I (a single dad) amd seeking a part-time nanny for my 9 year old son (third grade) and 12 year old daughter (6th grade). We live in Florence, Massachusetts This is a live-out position with a competitive hourly rate of $30.00. I'm seeking regular hours on M, W, F of 2pm - 7pm. There will be occasions where I'm working at home for some of those hours, or coming in and out as I run errands, etc. Overall, I'm looking for someone who can transport the kids after school to home, engage them in activities as well as assist with homework / chores to whatever extent necessary, do some light house cleaning / laundry, and meal prep / cooking. Some details follow: I am looking for someone who can pick them up after school (2pm at Ryan Road school and 3pm at Hilltown Charter School), bring them home and stay with them until I get home from work. While home, as I said above, a combination of interaction with getting their responsibilities done and having fun. Both kids are capapble of individual time on their own and tend to prefer it, I try to engage them in non-screen related activity at some point every day. We have a medium sized, older and extremely friendly dog named Abby. Getting her outside activity after school is an important part of the kids' responsibilities. I'm looking for someone who can cook for our family of three, making meals that will have leftovers for us. We do not need any kind of special cooking, we will talk about menu options and ideas. There are intermittent school holidays on Mondays and Fridays, and intermittent half days on Wednesdays. If possible, having you available for extra time on some of those days would be ideal. We can review the school calendar ahead of time to plan for them. Both children will not be home together every day. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children of similar age and be reliable, caring, and energetic.
