Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:

Performs skilled nursing care in the operating room environment, supporting surgical teams throughout procedures. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all clinical standards during surgical interventions.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare patients for surgery by verifying identities, explaining procedures, and ensuring all preoperative protocols are followed.
  
  
• 
  Assist surgical teams with positioning patients and maintaining a sterile field.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout the procedure, responding promptly to any changes.
  
  
• 
  Document all nursing actions, patient responses, and procedural details accurately.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical staff, and other healthcare professionals to maintain optimal patient care.
  
  
• 
  Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license in good standing.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate clinical experience in an operating room setting.
  
  
• 
  Possess strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current CPR and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Be able to withstand the physical demands of the operating room environment.
