Progressive Care Nurse

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Progressive Care Nurse for the ED Admissions Hold unit at TMC. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients requiring close monitoring and timely interventions as they transition from the Emergency Department to appropriate inpatient settings. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, frequent monitoring, medication administration, and coordination of complex care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. You will work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple patients, responding rapidly to changes in condition, and ensuring safe handoffs. Using the electronic health record, you will document accurately and communicate effectively across shifts and departments. Patient and family education, discharge readiness, and adherence to quality, safety, and infection control standards are central to this role.
