The Philanthropy Coordinator is a core member of the Philanthropy and Engagement Team. This position is responsible for maintaining donor records, managing donor relationships, coordinating fundraising events, and implementing strategies to enhance philanthropic initiatives within Seabury. This position ensures that fundraising activities are executed efficiently, the annual appeal runs smoothly, donors receive exceptional stewardship, events are implemented and the systems that support generosity operate with accuracy and excellence.

Hours: Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm; occasional evenings and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Coordination: Plan and execute annual Golf With Purpose fundraising tournament. This includes solicitations, logistics, budgeting, and volunteer management.
• Donor Relations: Maintain and cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors. This involves gift processing, acknowledgements and thank-you letters, and impact reporting.
• Fundraising Strategy Development: With Vice President, develop and implement innovative strategies to increase donations and contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Researching potential donors and grant opportunities.
• Gift Entry and Data Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of donations and donor information using donor database. Maintain accurate gift records and process gift acknowledgements in a timely manner.
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Vice President and Seabury Charitable Foundation Board, including scheduling meetings and assisting with donor stewardship activities.
• Community Engagement: Represent Seabury Charitable Foundation at community events and meetings, promoting the mission and values while engaging with potential donors.

Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience and qualifications.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including multiple software platforms.
• Excellence in professional behavior, including organization, appearance, self-motivation, writing skills, time management and personal interaction with others.
• Must enjoy working with other departments, residents, donors, staff and the public as required by this position.
• Willingness to acquire and perfect skills necessary for exceptional performance.
• Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

Preferred

• Familiarity with philanthropy systems, software and aging services a plus.
