Position involves providing ideas, inputs and analysis as a manufacturing engineering team member.Essential DutiesParticipate in new product development as a member of manufacturing team by: Analysis of competitive productsCreation of detailed design drawingsAnalysis of design to applicable standards (SAE, UL, etc.)Analysis of design using engineering analysis tools and techniques (Finite Element Analysis, etc.)Review of instruction manuals and product literatureLab and field testingWork effectively in a team environmentAnalysis of Graco and competitive products including performance, features, cost, etc.Assist in standard product support activities, such as: Analyzing and writing products for Engineering Change OrdersTroubleshooting product problems in manufacturing area"Minors" (cost reduction, packages, product upgrade)Maintain current level of technical knowledgeDevelop knowledge of: Graco product lineOperational systemsGraco and industry design standardsGraco Quality Management SystemGraco customer applications and requirementsOther duties as assignedPosition RequirementsHigh school diplomaCompletion of second year Engineering programGood oral and written communication skillsGood mechanical/electrical aptitudeApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
