Job Summary:
This position is for a Medical Surgical Floor nurse located in Skokie, Illinois. The role involves caring for a busy orthopedic/spine unit with a patient census of 5-6 individuals. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The schedule includes rotating day and night shifts, and the position requires flexibility to float to similar units as needed.

Job Details:

• Location: Skokie, Illinois
• Schedule: 12 hours per shift, with rotating days and nights (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification; passing EKG test; 2 years of experience in orthopedic/spine units; Illinois state license required
• Experience Preferred: 2+ years in orthopedic/spine nursing
• Floating: Yes first to float, as needed to like units
• Weekend Requirements: Yes every other weekend
• On-Call Requirements: Not applicable
• Orientation: 16 hours of non-billable orientation
• Notes: No RTO (Request Time Off) for blackout dates, including all of August and most of July
• Additional Information: Care for 5-6 patients on a busy orthopedic/spine unit, shift rotations, and schedule details as specified.
