Facilities Maintenance Technician

Locations available:  Baraboo, Madison, and Monona, WI 

What's the role?

The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports day-to-day upkeep and repair for our REMS and Secure Storage properties. We have full-time and part-time roles available at the location(s) listed above. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and supporting a variety of property needs. Duties include:

• Performing general building maintenance, repairs and improvements such as painting, structural and minor roof repair
• Apartment turn-over, HVAC, minor electrical, plumbing, appliance installation/removal, and emergency maintenance
• Providing grounds maintenance, including but not limited to: landscaping, exterior building maintenance, and snow removal 
• Maintaining streets and common areas of the property
• Safely operate a truck to transport materials 
• Communicating effectively and professionally with all residents and coworkers while working in a team environment

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

• A diverse and well-rounded skill set with the ability to support multiple maintenance functions 
• Experience providing maintenance services for rental properties, storage facilities, or similar is highly desired
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work both independently and with team members 
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties as needed

What's the schedule?

Both full-time and part-time opportunities across multiple locations. Overall flexibility in scheduling is based on meeting property and operational needs. Team members in this role participate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends, typically rotating every other week.
