Our client is a leading fiber network services provider, and they are building out the Core Network Engineering team. We have multiple roles for Network Engineers with In-Depth knowledge in the Design, Architecture, Deployment and Testing of Carrier (MSP) Networks. Knowledge of transport, routing protocols, network security,network testing tools and automation essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop our client’s core network infrastructure
• Create and implement service provider network designs and comprehensive documentation, such as Methods of Procedures, diagrams, and drawings.
• Create, deploy and test network designs.
• Develop customer service configurations for deployment via network automation and low-touch provisioning.
• Collaborate with Network Operations Teams for testing and maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years experience of high tempo network engineering and deployment
• MUST HAVE: experience in Broadband, MSP/ISP, Service Provider, Telco, Carrier networks
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred

Technology Subject Matter Areas

• OSI Networking Model, on networking, protocol and transport
• Industry certification helpful: CCNP, JNCIS-SP, JNCIP, or similar
• Routing protocols such as  BGP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS
• Transport technologies: FTTX, PON, GPON, XGS-PON, carrier ethernet, legacy fiber
• Knowledge of Quality of Service (QoS), including Layer 2 COS and Layer 3 QoS.
• Testing tools and platforms: SNMP, Syslog, DNS, AAA, DHCP, L2 VPN, L3 VPN technologies, VRFs, LAG technologies, CGNAT, and VOIP.
• Networking and Cybersecurity skills MUST: Firewall, VPN, IOS-XR or JUNOS.
