Junior Project Manager

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Project Manager, the Junior Project Manager will support the coordination, scheduling, and tracking of Creative Services and marketing projects from initial request through production and completion. This role focuses on execution, organization, and communication, helping ensure projects stay on schedule and teams stay aligned. The Junior Project Manager will assist with maintaining project timelines, tracking deliverables, and facilitating communication across teams while developing project management skills under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager. In-office/non-remote in Maryville, TN Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred 1–3 years of project coordination, marketing, or related experience Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Ability to take direction and apply feedback effectively Basic understanding of project management practices preferred Knowledge of firearms operation and safety preferred (if applicable) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Senior Project Manager in creating and maintaining schedules for marketing projects Track project timelines, updates, and status in project management tool Communicate schedule updates, changes, and potential conflicts to stakeholders in alignment with Senior PM guidance Support prioritization and resource coordination as directed by the Senior Project Manager Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are understood Maintain organized documentation for projects and workflows Generate basic reports on project status and work in progress Identify and escalat[e] risks, delays, or issues to the Senior Project Manager Support adherence to internal proofing and quality control procedures Review files for completeness and accuracy under direction Maintain product and project data (e.g., SKUs, specs) in internal systems Provide logistical support for content production when needed NOTE: This list presents only the principal duties of the position and is not intended to be comprehensive. Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment: Office: Typical office environment and lighting with some exposure to plant environment, with fork lift and other general hazards. Manufacturing/Warehouse: Within the Smith & Wesson manufacturing facility, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing operations.
