Life Enrichment Coordinator

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with the Resident Services Director in planning, implementing, and facilitating social and recreational programs on campus, including structured individual and group activities and resident‑led events. Drive company vehicle as needed to facilitate off‑campus events such as educational outings, musical performances, and other excursions. Ensure all programming guidelines align with CL’s LifeConnect® philosophy. Support and assist marketing of programs to the community and staff by updating the MyCov Life app based on residents’ living levels. Plan for and escort participants to off‑campus events while maintaining compliance with CL policy. Collaborate with Life Enrichment to coordinate the resident and community volunteer program, including recruitment, scheduling, and volunteer coordination. Coordinate with other departments to facilitate events such as town‑hall and resident council meetings. Periodically plan, coordinate, and implement larger‑scale events. Update the on‑campus TV channel and utilize other formal communication methods to residents and staff (monthly newsletter, information board, etc.). Provide newsletter editing as needed. Stay current with trends in recreational programming for older adults and ensure Covenant Living activity standards are met or exceeded. Provide welcome and orientation for new residents upon move‑in. Update care plans, interventions, and attend care conferences as needed. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Required Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred Degree: Associate’s Degree Experience: 2+ years in related field KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY Experience working with senior adults. Strong communication, organization, creativity, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills. Design and implement programs compatible with state regulations. Ability to train and mentor a team. Develop and schedule life enrichment programs in alignment with resident interests. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Maintain sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office/community setting. Stand or sit for prolonged periods. Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. Lift, carry, push, or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 50 lbs. Operate various equipment based on department and weather conditions. Perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements (typing/writing). Near visual acuity for working with small objects or reading small print; far visual acuity at 20 feet or more. Maintain peripheral vision while eyes are fixed on a given point.
