RN - Endoscopy Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: GI/Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN license (Compact State or WI) Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Pre/post experience in endoscopy or GI procedures Experience with conscious sedation Advanced GI case experience is preferred Description: Department: Endo GI Unit Number of procedure rooms: 10 (8 outpatient, 2 inpatient)Average number of cases per day: 30Common cases include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, dilations, and food impactionsShifts are 10-hour days, and nurses are expected to stay late as needed to complete necessary casesNurses will take weekend and holiday call in rotation based on experience with conscious sedation and advanced casesCall response time is 45-60 minutesThere are no floating requirementsFacility supplies scrubsUnit-specific orientation will be providedCancellations may occur with prior noticeCharting system used is Cerner #J-18808-Ljbffr
