Job Description

Job Description

Build Precision. Restore Confidence.

Join our Lockport, IL team and help ensure every piece of sophisticated electronic test and measurement equipment meets spec—on the line and after it’s been in the field. As an Electronic Instrumentation Diagnostics Technologist, you’ll diagnose issues at the component level, calibrate instruments, and document everything with care.

Imagine This

A field unit arrives with intermittent drift. You study the schematic, probe the circuit with your oscilloscope, isolate a faulty reference component, perform a micro-soldered replacement, and run a complete calibration sequence. You record results, update inventory, and recommend a corrective action so the issue doesn’t recur in production. That’s a typical win here.

What Success Looks Like
  • You consistently troubleshoot PCB assemblies down to individual components using schematics and diagnostic equipment
  • You complete final assembly, test, and calibration for production units
  • You repair, test, and recalibrate returned instruments to restore performance
  • You read and interpret electrical schematics to drive root-cause analysis
  • You make smart use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other bench tools
  • You maintain thorough repair logs, calibration records, production documentation, and inventory details
  • You propose and implement effective corrective actions
  • You work independently with minimal supervision while partnering effectively across engineering, production, and quality
  • You uphold safety, quality, and documentation standards

  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Independent work style with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation habits
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Willingness to support overtime when required
