Wood is recruiting for a CAD Civil 3D designer to join its Oil & Gas business focusing on the Operations Americas unit. This opportunity is onsite in Sheridan, WY, United States. #LI-OnsiteThe RoleThe Civil 3D Designer will develop grading plans, construction drawings, and earthwork solutions for multiple engineering projects. The role involves working with Civil 3D workflows, CAD standards, and collaborating with teams to solve design challenges in a fast-paced environment. Expected:High School Degree or GEDTechnical degree or certification within Autodesk Civil 3D preferred3+ years of experience using Autodesk Civil 3DExperience working with Project Managers remotely for design figures, models, and creating sheets for construction setsAdvanced - Expert skill level of Civil 3D Surfaces, Grading Tools, Corridors, XML Files, Civil 3D Styles, Volumes, and data shortcutsWorking knowledge of sheet set manager is a plusWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products (including SharePoint)Working Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat ProWorking Knowledge of Blue Beam is a plusA thorough understanding of Drafting StandardsMust be able to pass pre-employment drug, background and fit tests.Typical responsibilitiesCreate detailed grading plans using Civil 3D grading tools, feature lines, corridors for a variety of earth work projectsDevelop construction plans, schematics, and volumes for a variety of projectsAssist in the development of Civil 3D workflows, Create/uphold CAD StandardsWork with team members to help troubleshoot/solve potential problems that occur within the scope of workMust be willing to learn new methods and skills to hone their professional development within the Civil 3D platformAbility to multi-task with several projects simultaneously, manage time, and dedicated to completing projects with tight deadlinesCandidate will be self-motivated, show strong initiative, and have the ability to learn quickly, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, dependable, works well in a team setting and/or independently, accurate while working in a fast-paced environment, flexible to changes in the organizational environmentAdditional knowledge and skills in the GIS realm are a positive.
