Job Summary And Qualification Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery. Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement. Maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population. Support the mission, vision and values of the organization Apply scientific knowledge; use a variety of equipment; and perform multiple technical procedures. Proactively advocate for patients and consistency educate patients/family throughout the continuum of care. Utilize ability to demonstrate and apply the technical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date (RN) Registered Nurse Associate Degree Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position. Congenital Heart Experience and/or high-acuity PICU medical-surgical experience preferred.
